Nau mai, haere mai ki Uruti Kura — a place of community, life, and purpose nestled in the beautiful Uruti Valley, Taranaki.
We are a proud full primary school (Years 0–8) serving our rural community in North Taranaki.
We have a small roll which allows for unique learning opportunities that larger schools might miss.
We are a Silver Enviroschool with aspirations for Gold. Our students lead practical initiatives—predator trapping, tree planting, freshwater monitoring, and sustainable daily practices. This hands-on approach earned us the Taranaki Environmental Action in Education Award 2024.
We collaborate with Ngāti Mutunga in Curious Minds projects—like monitoring koura in the local awa—and maintain close ties with the Tainui Cluster of schools for shared sporting, cultural, and educational events.
Our school is open to visitors. Contact us to arrange a visit—we’d love to welcome you.
